Lava launches Iris Pro 30 smartphone at Rs 15,999

 NEW DELHI: Indian manufacturer Lava has launched its Iris Pro 30 smartphone, which is being marketed under the theme 'Art meets Smart'. Priced at Rs 15,999, this smartphone will be available in retail and online stores from the third week of January.

The new Lava Iris Pro 30 has a 4.7-inch OGS (one glass solution) display with HD (720p) resolution and features the 500 LCM panel made by Japanese manufacturer Sharp. The display is protected from scratches by Gorilla Glass panel and has pixel density of 312ppi.

With thickness of 7.5mm, the new smartphone by Lava is thinner than iPhone 5S; it weighs 114 gram.

Under the hood, the Iris Pro 30 packs a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It sports an 8MP rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 3MP front camera.

Lava's new Iris Pro 30 has a 2,000mAh battery that features Content Adaptive Backlight Control (CABC) technology, allowing it to run 30% more than rival products.

Some of the software features of Iris Pro 30 are flip-to-mute, video PIP, voice and face recognition to unlock the model. It supports USB on-the-go, allowing it to read data from pen drives and receive inputs from keyboard and mouse.
