South India has a beautiful expanse of flora and fauna, some still untouched by the heavy influx of tourists and the Indian travelers. There are a variety of beautiful places to be explored in the south which comes fairly as a breeze of freshness.
Skandagiri Hills - Skandagiri is a mountain fortress located just 70 kms from the city of Bangalore. Although much hasn’t been written about the place, the gorgeous photographs suggest that it’s a perfect weekend trip for people living in Karnataka.
Belum Caves - Belum Caves are the second largest caves in the Indian subcontinent, and the longest (3229 mts) caves in the plains of India. The caves have been formed because of a constant flow of underground water.
Hogenakkal Falls – The waterfall is located on river Kaveri in the Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu. Hogenakkal is famous for medicinal bath, and it also offers boat rides.
Papi Hills - Papi kondalu or the “Papi Hills” are a series of mountains that are located in Rajahmundry in West Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh. Rajahmundry also offers boat services to Papi Hills.
St Mary’s Islands – When you see this place for the first time, you will feel as if you are at one of the locations of a Bollywood film shoot. The islands stall tall in the ocean like beautiful structures emerging out from the layers beneath.
